• How do I sign up?
This event is on AO3! Our sign-ups open from 1 to 10 June. Once they are open, you will see the button ‘Sign-Up Form’ on the left side of your screen. For mobile users, on the top of your screen. Just click on it!• How does this exchange work?
This is a writing and drawing challenge based on requests and offers. All participants will be matched so that everyone can create a gift and receive one. You will have two months to either write or draw anything related to the prompt you were assigned to. Then you will submit your work to the AO3 collection before the deadline.• What’s the theme of the exchange?
This gift exchange is general! Feel free to request whatever prompts you would like, provided it isn’t restricted content.• Are there any content restrictions?
All works must feature Kaeya and Albedo in some form. You can also specify any side characters or ships you would or would not like to see. Also, we are not allowing any “dead dove” content. For more information, see the Fanlore article on Dead Dove. This includes noncon, incest, necrophilia, underage, cannibalism, and so on. If you’re unsure what errs on the side of dead dove, then request or make something else.• I don't know what prompt to pick... What do I do?
You can find lots of prompts and tropes online. Open prompts are also welcome! Just keep in mind some prompts need research (AU about another specific fandom, a prompt based on a song, etc.), so it's better to give an extra prompt if that's the case.• Can I participate in this event as a minor?
Yes, you are allowed to participate. Do however state it in your offer so we don’t match you with an 18+ prompt. We ask you to not make 18+ prompts either. If you do get matched up with a user who also has a NSFW prompt along with SFW, only create an SFW gift from an SFW prompt.• I want to change my sign-up.
Go to ‘My Sign-up’. Here you see the buttons to either change your sign-up or prompt.• Can I write more than 2k or draw more than a rough lineart?
Yes! Those are just content minimums. You are welcome to write a fic as long as you like or draw a piece of art as detailed as you’d like.• How does matching work?
You sign up for the event, make 1-3 prompts, and make 1-3 offers. The minimum to make is 1. Then you get matched up once matching starts. Your receiver doesn't know who the gifter is going to be, you won't be able to know yours either. You as a writer/artist are going to make a gift for your recipient and complete it before the deadline. It's anonymous for 3 days after it’s posted before the creators get revealed! After the creators are revealed, you're free to post your work on social media.• Can anyone see my requests?
Yes. This way people can make you a treat based on your prompt if they want.• Where can I find my assignment?
As soon as the matching is done and assignments are sent out, you'll find it in your mail. You can also find it under the section 'My Assignments' in the Ao3 collection.• How many gifts do I have to create?
You only have to make one for every offer you filled in. But aside from that, you can make a treat. For more information, see the question below.• What’s a treat?
A treat is a gift outside of your assignment. You’re welcome to create a treat for another prompt in all available prompts as well. You do have to fulfill your assignment too. Anyone outside the gift exchange can make a treat too! Treats can be submitted until the next gift exchange! If you want to submit a treat after that, feel free to email or DM us so we can open the exchange for you again. To create a treat you need to make a new work. Fill everything in as usual, but fill in who the gift is for in ‘associations’ and add it to the collection kaebedogiftexchange2025.• How do I add/submit my work? (Both assignment and treats)

There is probably something wrong with the link you inserted. Make sure to follow our tutorial and try again. If this doesn't work, contact us so we can help you.• I need to drop out of the event.
Please let us know through Email, Twitter, Instagram or Discord as soon as possible. This is so we can reassign your recipient to a pinch hitter as soon as possible.• What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is someone who will create a gift for a participant whose assigned partner has dropped out. You can be a pinch hitter even if you haven't signed up for the event. You can let us know if you want to be a pinch hitter through filling out this form. Or you can email or DM us on Twitter, Instagram or Discord. You do need to have an AO3 account.• I can’t finish my gift in time. What do I do?
If you need an extension, let us know as soon as possible. There is also the option of dropping out.• Why does it take 3 weeks until it's revealed?
Some people were not able to finish their gift in time, so in this time period we give them one more week to complete it. That doesn't mean you get extra time, it's just for emergency cases. As for the other 2 weeks, this is for the pinch hitters to pick up the remaining assignments.• Why was I removed from the event?
There could be several reasons. Most likely you failed to follow the rules after a warning. Or you have not submitted your work, even after the extra week after the deadline.• What does the default button do? (After receiving your assignment).
This button is for when you want to abandon your assignment. Only use this button after speaking to us about dropping out.• I want to post my work on social media.
Please wait until the creators are revealed in the gift exchange before you post it online. After it’s fully exposed, you’re free to post it on social media. Tag us so we can reshare your work!

If we get 75 participants early, matching will be earlier.(CEST and EDT are timezones. Be sure to look up the deadlines in your own timezone!)

Failure to follow the rules will result in a warning. If you continue to not follow the rules, then you will be unable to participate in the event.Required to sign up for this event
• You must sign up through AO3 as a writer or as an artist
• Writers must write a minimum 2K fic, artists must draw at least a rough lineart
• Include minimum one of your social media (Twitter, Instagram, Email, Discord) in your offer description. This information stays private and will only be used to contact you if needed
• No dead dove content, neither in your requested prompts or your offers. For more information, see the Fanlore article on Dead Dove. This includes noncon, incest, necrophilia, underage, cannibalism, and so on
• NSFW is allowed, but we ask you to not create 18+ prompts or offers for this event if you are a minor. If you are matched up with someone who has an NSFW prompt along with an SFW prompt, we ask you only create a SFW gift for that user
• Be aware that if you drop out of the event and your gifter also happens to drop out, you unfortunately won't receive a giftRequired for your work to be approved
• Content must be new and unique for this gift exchange
• Content can’t be AI-generated in any form
• Be kind and considerate. We don’t condone harassment and negativity towards any participants
• You must respect your recipient's Do Not Wants as you're creating your work
• Be sure your readers are aware of any graphic details of violence that you will include in your work. Gore is okay, but don't go overboard
• You must submit your work in English, including writing and any text in your artwork
• If you wrote a multi-chapter work, you must submit the entire work
• If the work is not done in time, you get a one week extension. If not done by that deadline, we will have to remove you
• If you join the event multiple times over the years and fail to complete your work twice, without a valid reason and without informing us before the end of the event, you will be blacklisted
• If you join the event multiple times over the years and fail to give a valid way to contact you each time, you will be blacklistedUsing something from this exchange for outside sources
• If you want to use your gift for commercial purposes (e.g. selling prints, promotional material, merchandise, etc.) ask your gifter's permission first
• If you want to use something from our exchange for your own event (FAQ, rules, sign-up form, etc.), ask for permission or credit us. Do use your own words
